Desmond Tutu Undergraduate Scholarships available for International/ EU/UK Students at King’s College London in UK 2013.

Eligibility: 

All undergraduate students starting at King’s in 2013, who do not by now have a previous degree from a UK, EU or international institution, are eligible to apply, however the following selection criteria will be applied to each candidate. 

  • Scholarship available for International Students: UK, EU or International student. 

Scholarship narrative: 

King’s College London is incredibly delighted to publicize the establishment of this new award, as part of the King’s Scholars schemes for 2013 entry. King’s College London is dedicated to the innovation, advancement of knowledge, learning and understanding in the service of society. We look for students who are pursuing higher learning with the intention that they can play a part in making the world a healthier and better place. 

  • Number of awards offered: 14 scholarships. 
  • Duration of award(s): 
  • Each scholarship is payable in equal installments over 3 years and can be paid as a cash bursary or as a payment towards your tuition charges at King’s College. 

What does it cover? 

  • 7 @ £7,500 for Home/EU students or 
  • 7 @ £15,000 for International students. 

Selection criteria: The criteria for assessment of the essay: 

-The academic merit of the assignment – a clear, apparent and fluent style with a sound focused and structured argument; 

-an understanding and exposition, explanation of how expertises learnt at the College will be able to translate into action to serve society. 

Notification: Successful applicants will be notified if they are successful by 15 April 2013. 

How to Apply: The mode of applying is by post. 

Scholarship Closing Date: 1 April 2013.
