Photonics is persistently growing and brings together today a large range of interdisciplinary activities in health, environment, energy, transport and telecommunications, with either instant or long term social and economic outcomes. Photonics plays a key part in the discovery of new processes in nature and novel technologies, with an irrefutable occurrence on fundamental knowledge developments other than on the market novelties as well. The EUROPHOTONICS EMMC Master Course and EMJD Doctorate program bring together and organize top level training and teaching for young scientists. They offer fellowships and mobility possibilities within the EUROPHOTONICS consortium institutions for EU and non-EU students. 

The EUROPHOTONICS EMMC Master course provides an extensive two-year Master level teaching program focusing on advanced research and applied topics that will constitute the near and extended future scientific objectives in the field of Photonics Engineering, Nanophotonics and Biophotonics, with interdisciplinary applications. Master students take advantage of this program will be able to work on today’s new challenges in their academic or applied research careers: understand and control matter and optical phenomena at the ultimate nanometric scale, give new imaging and monitoring tools for the nearly all intricate biological processes from cells and tissues to clinical applications, bring new and original tools for the future optical devices.
